"Betwe nthe hours of sunset and sunrise,helmets must be worn
by all ranks when on duty"

Between the hours of sunset and sunrise Caps wi.thwhite covers wi11
be worn by a11 ragks when on duty. The helmet must be carried by a11 ranks during,
. thesa hours and this can best be done by passing`thechin strap of the helmet over the
shoülder strap of the General Service Respirator and lettingthe helmet rest on the
Respirator Haversack.
The Chief Constable considers,by the wearing of 'ihiteCap Covera,
that accidentsto Constableson tho road at night wi11 be obviated,end that the
evoplo set by the Policewill be followed by many others, particularlychildren in
kqitted white berets.
2f any Officershave, for some reason or other, to be do duty at
Cross-Roads,they are to wear a white armlet on both aus.
