Force Orders 1939_12
X
No. 12.
25th. March, 1939;
TO BE CIRCULATEDTO ALL RANKS
OF THE CHESHIRECONSTABULARY.
The Chie£ Constablehas on several occaeions emphasizedthat
he wished facilitieeto be granted to members of the Force to attend
Regimantal Dinners. .
The Chief Constablehae reason to believe that such facilities
have.not been granted.
If an applicationis made to attend a RegimentalDinner, the
Inspector or Sergeant ehould be ab1e to rearrangeduties so as to enab1e
the applicantto attend. 2£ the Inspector or Sergeant cannot do so,
the Superintendentshould be able to arrange for a substitute.
Tha Chief Constablewould take a serious view of any Inspector
or Sergeant who impeded an applicant from attending a r.egimentaldinner,
for he attaches importanceto such functione, and would expect a report
in any instance where it was not £ound possible to accede to the
applicant'sre uest, for he can conceive of no reason why such a
request should be refused.
