The Chief Constableintends to hold an examinationfor
Constableswith four yeärs servïceand over, who desireto
sit to qualïfyfor the ranks of Acting sergeantand-5ergeant.
Constables, who have completedPour years serviceby the
1st. Februarÿ1937, and who have not sat for a promotion examinatïon
within the precedingtwelvemonthsymay apply to sit for this
examination. .
A11 such applicatidnsmust be receïvedat the Superintendent'
Officeby 1st. Februiry 1937. A lïst of applicantswishingto
sit for the examinationwi11 b é sent from each Divisionto
Keadquarters so as to réachthis officenot later than 5th.
February1937. If there are no cändidatesin a Divisiona
report to'thateffectwill be made.
Constableswho have al éady sat aid passed an examination
grior to that held on 13th. June 1936 wi11 be requiredto pass
this examinationbeforethey can be consideredfor promotion.

One Paper o Diseasesof ,Animals.
On e Paper on Arithmetic.
